Robbie Barron, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Robert (Robbie) Barron is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Kitty Hawk Aircargo, Inc., named to this position in June 2005.
Barron previously served as the company's Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering, overseeing all maintenance and engineering operations, as well as refinement of the Kitty Hawk Aircargo long-term fleet plan. He also served as a senior member of Kitty Hawk's B737-300SF aircraft Integration team.
Prior to joining Kitty Hawk, Barron served as Chief Inspector for USAIR, Director of Quality Assurance and Heavy Maintenance for AirTran Airways, as well as Managing Director for heavy maintenance provider, TIMCO, in both Lake City, FL and Macon, GA. Barron's 20-plus years in commercial and military aviation has also included management, quality assurance and maintenance responsibilities with Delta Airlines and the United States Air Force.

Danny K. Clifton, Vice President & Director of Flight Operations
Danny Clifton, Vice President and Director of Flight Operations for Kitty Hawk Aircargo, Inc. joined the Kitty Hawk team in 2004.
Previously, Clifton served as the assistant chief pilot for DC-9 aircraft, as well as a DC-9 First Officer and DC-8 Second Officer at ABX Air, Inc./Airborne Express in Dayton, Ohio. He is certified on the Boeing 737 aircraft and was a pilot and instructor for Rick Aviation in Newport News, Virginia prior to his service with ABX. Clifton holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College, part of the Royal Air Force, in Bentwaters, UK. Clifton also served in the United States Air Force for 24 years. During his Air Force career, he commanded an Air Combat Command Training Support Squadron and handled a variety of other operational and training duties. Clifton also led an A-10 fighter squadron during the first Gulf War.

James Kupferschmid, CPA, CTP, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Kupferschmid joined Kitty Hawk with a 20-plus year financial career including cargo, airline and M&A assignments with Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines. Kupferschmid has most recently been a partner with Tatum Partners, LLC providing CFO, Treasury, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance work for a variety of clients. During the period 1994 through 2001, he served in a variety of positions including vice president finance, treasurer and chief financial officer for Continental Airlines’ subsidiary Continental Micronesia, Inc., director of business development for Northwest Airlines and as a consultant to Warburg Pincus, LLC in conjunction with an airline LBO. Prior to his recent assignments, Kupferschmid held vice president, CFO positions and/or venture capital acquisition responsibilities with several start-up companies including a low-cost airline and several early-stage technology companies.
Kupferschmid is a certified public accountant; a certified treasury professional (CTP), holds a MA degree in economics from the University of Texas and a BS in Accounting from Indiana University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Financial Professionals.

Steven Markhoff, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary
Steven E. Markhoff, Esq. is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Kitty Hawk Cargo, Inc., named to this position in June 2006 and Corporate Secretary for Kitty Hawk, Inc. Markhoff joined Kitty Hawk, Inc. in March 2003 as Vice President Strategic Planning, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. Prior to Kitty Hawk, Markhoff was Vice President of International Management Solutions, LLC, a financial, operations, and management consulting company for aviation related and distressed companies. Markhoff’s broad range of industry experience also includes positions as Vice President Acquisitions with Hawaiian Airlines, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Mesa Airlines and KIWI International Airlines, as well as General Counsel for Valujet Airlines, Inc. Markhoff earned his law degree from the Brooklyn Law School in 1994 and his Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Albany in 1989.
Markhoff currently holds a pilot’s license with an Airline Transport Pilot rating and is Type rated on the Boeing 737.

Jessica L. Wilson, Chief Accounting Officer
Jessica L. Wilson has served as our Chief Accounting Officer for Kitty Hawk, Inc. since August 2000. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, managing the treasury function and all consolidated financial reporting.
From August 1997 to July 2000, Wilson served as our Corporate Controller, Prior to Kitty Hawk, Wilson was an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP. Wilson is a certified public accountant, licensed in the state of Texas.

Gary Jensen, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Gary Jensen is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Kitty Hawk Ground, Inc. Jensen joined Kitty Hawk in April, 2006.
Immediately prior to joining Kitty Hawk, Jensen served as Vice President Operations for YellowRoadway subsidiary USF Bestway in Phoenix, Arizona and USF Red Star in Auburn, New York with leadership responsibilities in each position for approximately 2000 staff, operations, claims, industrial engineering, maintenance, safety, risk and process management. Prior to joining USF, Jensen served as General Manager for Logistics Insights Corporation, a transportation and logistics company serving the automotive manufacturing industry from Warren, Michigan as well as twenty six years and numerous increasing division, sales and operations management responsibilities with Consolidated Freightways.
